South Africa:
Spring travel is very popular in South Africa.
For most of the country it is near the end of the dry winter
season, game viewing is at its best and the inconvenience
of mosquitoes is minimal, making Mpumalanga or KwaZulu-Natal
ideal holiday destinations.
Coming out of the wet Cape winter this is the most colourful time of year to visit the Cape and Garden Route. There is an abundance of spring flowers, whale watching is at its best and the mild but steadily improving weather is ideal for those looking for an active holiday.
Namibia:
Although October is regarded as the beginning of the rainy season early spring is still a pleasant time to visit Namibia with excellent game viewing, little rain and temperatures not yet at their maximum.
Botswana & the Victoria Falls:
Although temperatures are rapidly rising early spring is a pleasant time to visit both Botswana and the Victoria Falls with excellent game viewing, spectacular viewing of the Victoria Falls and little rain. The waters of the Okavango Delta are retreating at this time of year making a visit early in the season preferable.
Islands of Mozambique:
A pleasant time of year to spend on the beach with hot days, mild nights and little rain. A good time of year for scuba diving.
