South
Africa:
Autumn travel is also very popular in South Africa. The first
half of the season is warm and comfortable in the Cape with regular days of
beach weather available until mid April. The latter half of the season is ideal
for a visit to KwaZulu-Natal or to Mpumalanga where the heat and rains of
summer are fading away and the golden colours of autumn set in.
Namibia:
April marks the end of the extreme heat and rainy season and so the second half
of autumn is a pleasant time to visit Namibia while taking advantage of the
continuing off-season rates.
Botswana & the Victoria Falls:
With the end of the rainy season in April the climate in Botswana and the
Victoria Falls becomes more comfortable, and though it is a time of low water
in the Okavango the Zambezi is in full flow and the Victoria Falls thunder
louder than ever.
Islands of Mozambique:
Another
ideal time of year to spend on the beach with average daily maximum
temperatures between 26 and 29 C.
