Itinerary:
Day 1: Windhoek, The Elegant Guest house(B&B)
A day to settle in and explore the picturesque city of Windhoek or simply relax at The Elegant Guesthouse situated in a quiet and peaceful residential area close to the city centre.
Days 2 & 3: Okonjima, Okonjima Bush Camp (DB&B)
A drive north towards the Waterberg brings you to Okonjima. Enjoy unique cheetah interactions and an introduction to the work of the Africat Foundation’s big cat rehabilitation program.
Days 4 & 5: Etosha (east), Onguma Tented Camp (DB&B)
The game rich eastern side of the Etosha National Park is one of Southern Africa’s premier safari destinations. Enjoy open vehicle game drives on the private Onguma reserve or in neighbouring Etosha.
Day 6: Etosha (south), Okaukeujo Resort (DB&B)
A full day to traverse the national park, stopping en route to experience the vast nothingness of Etosha Pan. In the afternoon arrive at Okaukuejo resort at the southern border of Etosha Park.
Days 7 & 8: Damaraland, Camp Kipwe (DB&B)
Bidding farewell to the wildlife make your way into the spectacular rocky desert of Damaraland and to your accommodation Camp Kipwe. Attractions include rare desert adapted elephants, the San rock art sites of Twyfelfontein and spectacular scenery and sunsets.
Day 9 &10: Swakopmund, Swakopmund Guesthouse (B&B)
The quaint, seaside town of Swakopmund gives a welcome respite from the desert as well as an opportunity for a variety of activities including dune boarding and quad-biking in the nearby dunes. Your accommodation will be in the Swakopmund Hotel, built around the old German train station building.
Day 11: Sossusvlei, Desert Homestead (DB&B)
Drive south into the most ancient of deserts, the Namib, for an opportunity to see the sun rise over the famous ochre red dunes of Sossusvlei from your accommodation Desert Homestead.
Day 12 & 13: Namibrand, Wolwedans Dunes Camp (FB&A)
Spend your 2 final nights in the heart of the 200,000 ha private Namibrand Nature Reserve at Wolwedans Dunes Lodge. In this land of stretching blue skies, endless plains and soft, pastel colours you will find beauty to feed the soul, tranquillity to clear the mind and space for your imagination to fly.
Day 14:
Leave behind your desert paradise and make your way back to Windhoek where you drop off your rental vehicle and board your flight home.
