At Hidden Vintage we are proud to be part of this growing global trend through our support of Uthando South Africa.

Meaning ‘Love’ in Xhosa, Uthando is a non-profit organisation based in Cape Town. It supports a broad range of local, community-based, sustainable and innovative empowerment projects helping some of the most destitute and marginalized communities in South Africa.

Uthando is not about guilt and negativity; it is about compassion, learning, giving and above all else ‘Love’. Hidden Vintage is proud to support this non-profit organization. For every booking we receive to the value of R8,000 per person or more, we will contribute R100 per person to the organization. We also challenge you, our clients, to experience an Uthando tour for yourselves and match or better our contribution.

Allow you to experience South Africa like never before.  They offer you a glimpse into the amazing human stories being created every day in the face of almost insurmountable adversity. They are not, however, township sightseeing tours or trips down begging bowl alley. They are field excursions to discover, meet, learn, understand, experience, feel and most importantly, be inspired! 

Uthando’s tours aim to provide visitors with an authentic, non-commercialized introduction to the social problems confronted by so many South African’s at grass roots. Proceeds go back into the community via the projects being visited and financed.
