Three Trees at Spioenkop, it is here that story of the Anglo-Boer War (1899 - 1902) unfold in a stunning, secluded environment. The lodge, which has been constructed to resemble the wood and corrugated iron style of colonial Britain in the 19th century, overlooks the battlefield of Spioenkop where the bloodiest battle of the war, for both Briton and Boer, took place and it adjoins the Spioenkop Nature Reserve containing white rhino, giraffe, zebra and numerous other animal species. Here you will relive some of the most dramatic moments of the war and will also have time to relax by the pool, take a gentle walk or horse ride, explore the northern berg and enjoy the three full meals that will be provided for you each day.
